Naturist campsites and resorts in Europe

The guide lists 25 places of this type in 7 countries: France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Netherlands, Germany. For each one you contact the owner or the site directly through Travelia, with no commission.

The naturist campsite is the historic gateway to naturism in Europe. From the large centres on the Atlantic coast to small family-run sites inland, you can rent a pitch, a mobile home, a bungalow or a chalet, with a pool, a beach or a forest where you can be naked in complete freedom.

The big naturist villages — Cap d'Agde, Euronat or CHM Montalivet in France, Koversada or Valalta in Croatia — work like small towns, with shops, restaurants and activities. Small campsites, often run by passionate naturists, focus on peace and quiet and a friendly atmosphere. Many ask for a naturist card on arrival (an INF-FNI federation card or the French FFN licence); it can usually be bought on site.

Each listing below leads to Travelia, where you contact the campsite directly, with no middleman and no commission.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a naturist card to stay at a naturist campsite?

In France most centres ask for an FFN licence or the card of a federation affiliated to INF-FNI, usually sold at reception. Elsewhere the rule varies from one campsite to another: check the listing or ask when you book.

Can I rent accommodation at a naturist campsite without a tent?

Yes. Most naturist campsites rent mobile homes, bungalows or chalets by the night or the week, and some villages also offer apartments.

When is the best time to go?

June and September: still warm, lower prices and fewer people than in July and August. Many campsites close from October to March or April.
