Rated 4 stars, the holiday house "gîte Lamarmette" is an invitation to quiet and wellbeing at the heart of a 10-hectare rural estate — a secluded spot that gives guests complete privacy, about twelve kilometres from the town of Bergerac.

The house offers 150 m² designed for two people, in the style of a tasteful, modern country home. Renovated in 2024, it has kept its old-world character — stone walls and wooden beams — while gaining every modern comfort: a dining room with a fully equipped open kitchen, a spacious living room with satellite TV and internet, a large veranda opening onto the garden, one bedroom with a king-size bed (180 × 200 cm) and its own shower room, and a second bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed (180 × 190 cm) and a bathroom with bathtub.

Outside, the glazed veranda is made for meals in the open air overlooking the garden. The private covered pool (5 × 11 m) is uncovered in July and August. Part of the garden is fenced so pets can stretch their legs safely. A large shelter with a table-tennis table, table football and a wood-fired barbecue completes the picture, along with on-site parking with a type-2 7 kW charging point for electric cars.

In the heart of the Dordogne, the house is an ideal base for exploring Bergerac and its vineyards. Everyday shops are 5 km away in Lalinde; a well-regarded restaurant is 1 km away in the village of Lanquais. Golf, riding stables, the Lanquais lake, walking trails and the Dordogne river are all close by.

Weekly rental only, Saturday to Saturday. Reduced rates from two weeks. Direct booking by card on the property's own website, in partnership with the Bergerac tourist office.

The house is open to all guests; naturists are welcome. The house and its private pool sit on a 10-hectare estate, with no neighbours and no other rental on the property. The owner does not live on site: only horses and cats share the grounds.
